Our second annual back to school young women activity weekend with special guest speaker sister Merkley. Her focus about turning disappointments into decisions gave us great advice to remember throughout our lives. We know our heavenly father is mindful of us and there will be times of learning and growing with each of the experiences that we have. There are choices we make when we are faced with a disappointment or stop sign. We can continue to move forward, change our plan, or stay in the same place. As we were taught, it is best to make a decision and keep moving forward. Sometimes our plan goes in a direction we would not have thought of before but can be a great blessing for us.
We then had a race to reenact those mornings when we are half-asleep. Whoever ate their bowl of cereal first would win. Allie had the lead and was shoving cereal in her mouth the fastest, but Corrinne came from behind and was victorious.

The next competition was a United States map that was blank. We challenged the girls to write each of the states and whoever completed it would win. Corinne was the winner again!
Finally, we all know going back to school can be hard. But having a sense of humor is a great benefit at all times of our lives. We played the game bubble talk and each of us had a good laugh putting words with various pictures and seeing which one got the most votes. We sure love being together and growing closer to the Savior. Our weeknight activities are such a blast!
